I know I kind of showed up and then disappeared, but I read the forum almost every day. I just don't really post a lot, since I'm quiet like that. I thought I'd make a little contribution though, since I havent really said much. These are some of my favorite Fearless screen caps. http://www.fearlessonline.com/screencaps/100/lg/100_034.jpg http://www.fearlessonline.com/screencaps/100/lg/100_160.jpg http://www.fearlessonline.com/screencaps/100/lg/100_159.jpg [URL's fixed, but you have to right-click and select "save as" to see the pics. -TR] I found them all here: http://www.fearlessonline.com/episodes.php?show=caps&episode=100 They'll all show up as little red x, but if you click the box itself, the pictures show. Strange, why do they avoid image links? I mean, everybody can download them and upload on his own site to make them "viewable" (it's maybe forbidden too)... Well, amethystxeyes, plz tell us the filenames so we can take a look for it Schaumi

It uses their bandwidth if you just link it to their site rather than re-upload it. I think that if they are going to have their bandwidth taken they want to make sure that their advertizing gets through to people. I think that's the reason. They do just have the folders accessable though. So you can look at them by just going to http://www.fearlessonline.com/screencaps/100/lg/ and then clicking on the links. Geez, why do I care so much about someone I've never met? Rachael, maybe you're my Sally.

Yes, you can download the images if you know what you're doing. But for right now those images are copyrighted, and www.fearlessonline.com has control over the images so that they are not misused by anyone. How many images of Rachael and other celebs have been altered into fake nude images? The other scam I can see involves bootlegging the images with fake autographs. I don't believe they would mind it if someone was promoting the show on a website. Unfortunately, individuals have no control over the misuse of those images. The people behind Fearless, and the WB, Rachael and a whole lot of other people have something at stake here. Bummer that we don't live in a perfect world. The bad guys get away with the scams, and honest fans get hurt by bad policy. Doreen Carter: You are so freaky! Jack Carter: Oh, well, we're all a little freaky, Doreen. It's the straight ones you've got to worry about.

Okay, I just got back on the computer for the first time since I posted that, and I'm a little confused as to what's going on. Did I do something wrong? If I did, I'm sorry, but I can honestly say I'm clueless.

Amethystxeyes, welcome to the board. I clicked on the links for the images, and was told the images were stolen from fearlessonline.com. That's the first time I've ever seen something like it. I did check out the website, got all the red boxes (probably gives you pix on a Macintosh or in Netscape Communicator), and clicked on some of the boxes. Great pix. I'm still looking for a clear image of her holding the pistol upside down. It is such a cool picture, but wish she was holding it right. Doreen Carter: You are so freaky! Oh, okay renoir. Thanks. I didnt know they were going to do that, but yeah, there are some great pictures of her in there. I'd love to see the episode, now that I've seen those pictures. I'm curious as to why she's standing in front of a mirror in a large bathroom by herself, in only pants and a bra. lol Thanks for the welcome, sandman.

quote: I still think that scene is terribly dorky and placed in the pilot for obvious reasons. lol I guess it is supposed to better make you realize that she is a bit of an oddball character. The other (bigger) reason is probably to make the male audience put the remote control down and watch the rest of the episode. LOL The scene is close to the beginning of the show, and I am sure that isn't an accident. Exploitation can be a bit embarassing, can't it be? -TR

I figured it was something like that, when I saw the screen caps that was basically the first thing that came to mind.

TR and amethyst eyes, in the movie PSYCHO, Alfred Hitchcock put Janet Leigh's character in the shower/bathroom because that is the one room in the house where a woman is at her most vulnerable. The same is true of a man running in a field, i.e. North by Northwest. It helps to establish the psychological powerlessness of the character in a situation that they are totally powerless to change. They are stuck in a moment that they can't get out of. Neither has a place to run to and hide. Rachael in bra and panties and in a bathroom is the same setup. But from what I understand, she is attacked by two bad guys. Where Janet Leigh got slashed up by Anthony Perkins' character, Rachael stands her ground and opens a can of kick-butt on the baddies. It demonstrates that Rachael's character is more than a match for any trouble that finds her, literally, with her pants down. "No place to run and hide? Okay then, fine. I'll kick your @$$e$ right here, right now." That is what being FEARLESS is about. She also has to wear the clothing since it is going to be prime time viewing. Is it exploitative? Possibly. I will say that it's a gimmick with a Hitchcockian spin to it. I hope this helps. Doreen Carter: You are so freaky! Jack Carter: Oh, well, we're all a little freaky, Doreen. quote: Actually, we were talking about a completely different scene. The scene we were speaking of has her deciding on what to wear to a meeting with a baddie in her undercover-mode. She is standing around half-dressed, drinking beer, conversing with Bianca, and trying on clothes. No cans of kick-butt were opened in this particular scene. -TR
