Q&A: Rachael Leigh Cook
By Kristen Aldridge | August 1, 2008 Kristen Aldridge: I know you’re from MN, I’m a MN girl too…I used to have the worst accent, oh yah, ya betcha ya. Rachael Leigh Cook: (laughing) Oh ya ya I know. Kristen Aldridge: (laughing) Oh don’t ya know! You’ve done some really great projects, you’re a talented actress, what would you say has been the best moment in your career so far? Rachael Leigh Cook: I guess I’d like to think it’s still coming, the best is yet to come – you are so gorgeous, look at your teeth – unbelievable! Kristen Aldridge: You are such a sweetheart, thank you! Tell me about “Blonde Ambition”. Rachael Leigh Cook: I’m leaving Sunday to work on the film with Jessica Simpson and Luke Wilson. It’s going to be shot in Louisiana and I think it’s gonna be great. I’m really excited, I’m playing her cousin, a crazy bohemian. Kristen Aldridge: You are also loved by fans all over the world as a video game vixen. Rachael Leigh Cook: I love the gamers, I love their enthusiasm, I’m excited to meet as many of them as I can. I wish all people loved movies this much. The fans of games are some of the most loyal fans around. Kristen Aldridge: How is acting in a video game as opposed to television and film? Rachael Leigh Cook: It’s what everyone says but you can’t beat a job you can do in sweatpants, just sitting down. It’s pretty amazing. Voice-overs I think it’s pretty widely agreed are the sweetest gig in town. Kristen Aldridge: I would love to show up to work in sweatpants! Rachael Leigh Cook: If you can do that you’re living the dream. Source. ------- “When I was born, the doctor asked my parents, ‘How do you want to spell Rachel?’ And they were, like, ‘There's another way to spell it?’ It didn't cost anything extra, and they liked it, so they added the ‘a.’ But now at restaurants when I put my name down, they always call out Raquel or Rach-a-el.” - RACHAEL LEIGH COOK. |
