Nice work Hellboy, did you use Adobe or other picture editor in doing this, I have learn something from Adobe like that and I'm still trying to find that software. What the hell? Also yours Hawkdawg, Hawkstrike initiated, standing by.
Anyway, keep making pictures like that because I had included yours in my collection. smile

the entire work is done in Adobe Photoshop 7, except the cutting out of Rachael on the left, since she was surrounded by white, I only used the magic wand to cut around her, but Photoshop's wand didnt add any feather, so I used Paint Shop Pro 7 for that part, and then imported it back into Photoshop.

nice to see you ppl like it smile

HellBoy, you could have also feathered the selection with Photoshop 7, I believe. Make the selection with the wand or whatever, then from the top menu SELECT > FEATHER. Or I think you might even be able to have it set to a feather amount before you draw the selection. In short, Photoshop rules all! smile

Anyway, great wallpaper. Good photo picks, and you did a great job cutting her out of that photo on the left. I dig.

goateestyle, yeah I see know that I could've done it, but the result were pretty much the same anyway, some of the white pixels that remained in her hair had to be manually removed, so I just marked them with the lasso tool, and made them transparent.

worked out quite nicely smile

... and thanks for the feedback everyone smile

HawkDawg, a little tip - when making wallpapers, make them in desktop-sizes, like 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200... you get the idea smile

you could also try doing some transitions between each picture, try blurring the edges between each pic, etc... experiment.

well, it shoudnt really be too hard to find, either you go out and buy it (like everything Adobe makes, it's friggin' expensive) or you do like every other warez-kiddie and download it off an ftp...

The best freeware gfx prog is probable the gimp, and the Win32 binaries can be dl'ed from this location: ftp://sunsite.uio.no/pub/gimp/win32/gimp-setup-20001226.zip

not as good as Photoshop, but a lot of linux users love it.
