man, in most of her recent movies she doing a sex scene of some kind...
I guess she likes those Theres one in Sally, Tempo, Tangled, Anti-Trust, 29 Palms...thats all i can think of for now Its hard for me to think through all the movies she has  Whats this movie about anyway? I wouldn't exactly say she LIKES doing those scenes. LOL
 It just so happens that many of the roles she has taken have called for such scenes. If you look at many movies nowadays, many of them call for scenes even more explicit. LOL  It's just the way the ball bounces. She isn't doing the teen roles anymore, and many scripts simply call for scenes like that. Rachael has even had to almost fight to get nudity scenes removed from movies she worked on. For instance, in "29 Palms", there was a shower scene that called for her to be topless. She insisted on doing the scene so that her back was to the camera instead, and the scene turned out being better because of it. See... she isn't a dummy. Notice that she manages to avoid doing nudity, even in bedroom scenes. -TR |

While I have no problems with romance in movies, the sex scene is unsettling for some reason. The limits keep getting pushed, and with it the class of the characters involved. The timing is bad, the chemistry isn't there, it fails to advance the plot of the film, the sex is forced and the scene is wasted film. Okay, example. Top Gun. Everyone knew Maverick was hot for teacher, and it gave him an insentive to return to Naval Fighter Weapons School as an instructor. The scene wasn't forced. It was a natural progression of the film. In 29 Palms, already lacking in emotional attachment to this viewer, the sex scene was forced. The characters didn't have the chemistry. Did it advance the plot? Not enough in my opinion. It might have been better for an anticlimactic scene, to run before outro and end credits. Yeah, there are a lot of sex scenes out there in the movies. The sex scene is "29 Palms" is completely unnecessary. It has nothing to do with the plot and was only thrown in there to attract audiences.
Not to mention the fact that The Waitress and The Drifter barely knew each other when they had sex. I mean, she didn't even know his name!!! "I love that place; it's like my Mecca. I would have no problem with it, but as long as it is something that is furthering the story along, I am all for it. I really hate these movies where the actors just randomly jump into bed. Now I don't mind a sex scene here or there but for Rachael I think that she has picked her spots well enough where her fans don't have to worry if she is going to the other side.
Maybe later in her career she will, but I think that the perception of her and how far she has come in this business it would be stupid to do one just to do one. Rachael Leigh Cook! she is too hot! We all need a little RLC everyday. She is so hot that she could turn on a dead man! |
