Creative Coalition's Poliwood Premiere Friday [May 8] 6:30pm red carpet, 7pm screening at Naval Heritage Museum. Expected to attend: Tim Daly, Dana Delany, Connie Britton, Ellen Burstyn, Barry Levinson, Kerry Washington and Rachael Leigh Cook. ***** Poliwood Berry Levinson’s new documentary film “Poliwood” makes its Washington premiere tonight at the Naval Heritage Museum. The film focuses on the 2008 Democratic and Republican conventions, and features Anne Hathaway, Spike Lee and Sting as well as Kerry Washington and Ellen Burstyn, who are both in town for the performance. ------- “When I was born, the doctor asked my parents, ‘How do you want to spell Rachel?’ And they were, like, ‘There's another way to spell it?’ It didn't cost anything extra, and they liked it, so they added the ‘a.’ But now at restaurants when I put my name down, they always call out Raquel or Rach-a-el.” - RACHAEL LEIGH COOK. | ||

Of course, the Creative Coalitioners were there – you kind of have to love how available they are: Tim Daly, Kerry Washington, Dana Delany, Matthew Modine, Rachael Leigh Cook and Matthew Settle. They walked the red carpet – with ropeline and everything! – and did the whole interview bit. [...] We asked Rachael Leigh Cook if the WHCA weekend was becoming just like L.A. “It’s already feels like L.A.” she said. Then she grabbed the ropeline. “I mean, what’s this?” she said as she tugged at it.
