I was shy to ask that question, but I wanted because I've noticed one major thing...

Roza's board (a.k.a. HAL) has less posts than RLC.net... And when HAL's down, where do we go to post our opinions, questions or findings about RLC... RLC.net obliously...

In that case, is holding 2 msg boards worth it ?

I'm just wondering if one of the MBs might close, I would suggest to keep RLC.net, as it is the most popular...

Just my question. Hope it's not offending. I understand all moderators here are doing a great job and wish them to continue so...

While it is true that this message board has now become more popular than Roza's, it isn't going anywhere. smile There are fans that only read that message board and post there so it is another source for fans and for information. smile That message board has been around longer than any other and will likely stay for a long time still. wink

I moderate on both boards and I enjoy both. smile

The Hal issue is because of a need for a battery backup in its new location. When the Hal server was in Manhattan, it had a UPS setup so power-outages were not much of a problem. Manhattan also seemed to have more reliable power than in Atlanta where Hal is now located. The only time there was an issue was when 911 happened and it knocked out the power in the area and the emergency generators on the roof became clogged with dusk from the crumbled buildings. frown Once the generator was cleaned out in the following day or so, Hal ran on generator power for a few days until power was again restored to the area. The reason this MB stays running when Hal is having problems is because this MB is no longer located on the Hal server like it used to be. When the sites are temporarily down, the MB should still be running all the time. smile That is one of the advantages of keeping the MB on the Infopop server. smile Unfortunately, there is now a monthly fee for that, though. wink

I think that was a bit too much info so I will go now. wink LOL

I guess everything's those days have a cost frown

Thanks for the info TR, that wasn't too much said. It is informative...

P.S. I might pay very soon a monthly fee for RLC Signature, to get more fans coming...

Thank for info, TR. In my humble opinion I don't want Roza's to be shut down. Actually I don't want any RLC website to be shut down.
