You have to ask what your motives are in wanting to know who Rachael's boyfriend is.
If it is out of jealousy then you should get over it. Frown
If it is out of concern that she is with a good person than I would say that's fine but ultimately, of course, it is no-ones decision to make regarding who she sees.

FatherGod, what are your EXACT reasons for caring who her b/f is?

Part of Hollywood cynicism is that when people are dating, it is assumed that more is going on than meets the eye. After all, "everybody is doing it." How many Hollywood relationships are strictly platonic?

For a celeb, there is practically no privacy. Everyone wants to know where Paris Hilton will show up next and with whom she will be leaving. Name one female celebrity that is famous, that is dogged by the poparazzi, and doesn't have one guy on her arm when she leaves one of Hollywood's hottest clubs. Face it, we the po' want to know what "our betters" are up to. We want to think the best and the worst of anyone who somehow ends up in the spotlight. Who cares if "the star" wants to save the world from land mines? Inquiring minds want to know who "the star" is sleeping with and if it will cause trouble for them later.

As Green Goblin pointed out to Spidey, heroes are lifted up so that the hoi polloi can watch them fall.

However, some may be interested in Rachael's dating life just because they either a) don't have a life of their own; b) hope that she will eventually have a happy, normal relationship that doesn't end up on a Hollywood Minute; c) may be interested "just because it makes for good conversation," no gossiping, no tearing down, no jealousy; d) it's Rachael Leigh Cook, single girl... what guy in his right mind wouldn't want to ask her out or hang with her for an hour or two? What fun is the fantasy if there's a flesh-and-blood boyfriend involved? Face it, Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson would be far more interesting if they weren't married.

It seems like to me that Rachael is the only actress in Hollywood who isn't looking for the publicity. Reese is pregnant... flash, boom, bam Entertainment Tonight is first with the "exclusive interveiw with the mamma to be." Kate Hudson gets the same deal. Julia Roberts breakup with Benjamin Bratt makes the first ten minutes of E! Entertainment News. We have cable, we know the drill.

Some of Rachael's fans want to know, and I believe it is more innocent than what the casual reader of the Inquirerer or viewer of ET has regarding Hollywood royalty. Rachael isn't at that level yet, and we hope that she remains accessable for a long time to come.

So, who is Rachael's boyfriend? Honest question.

Does it really matter? Will it change your world if you knew? Would it make you a better person in the long run if you were filling in that particular role in her life? These are just as honest as questions go.

For now, just be glad you have the knowledge that Rachael is in Hollywood working on a television show and that her acting career is blossoming. Perhaps, as a result, she doesn't have time to date or have a boyfriend. It will be revealed in time of her choosing to announce who her boyfriend is. Don't stress out until then. Cool

Doreen Carter: You are so freaky!
Jack Carter: Oh, well, we're all a little freaky, Doreen. It's the straight ones you've got to worry about.

Interesting.

Speaking for myself, I dig hearing about anyone, well-known or not, who lives a thoughtful life.
A great example being Heather Mills McCartney, since you mentioned land mines.

Great interview with Heather:

Hello Again, This is Chris Carpenter and since this is a way to post so that my questions can be answered and hopefully recognized by Rachael and the team of this site. I saw Josie and the pussycats movie last night Oct. 3rd for the first time and enjoyed knowing that Rachael was Josie and after the movie went off I put in She's All That on DVD that I have and I wanted to add that I fell hard in Love with Rachael when I discovered her in 1999. This is the only way that my voice can be read and posted I gladly pronounce my true feelings for her. I live in Franklin, TN and I know that is a long way from California but My brother and I have been talking about going to California next year and maybe we will.

Why didn't Rachael do the vocals for Josie in JATP? Does she have a bad voice? LOL.

Probably not a 'bad' voice. Just not good enough to record a song.

On the extras on the Josie DVD there is a clip of Rachael doing some background singing i think. She doesnt look to confident doing it Razz

At what point will you realise, that life without Rachael is really death in disguise

Rachael may not have had the sort of voice they were looking for, and since Rachael would be lip-syncing on film in any event, even if she had recorded the vocals, the producers might as well use someone with a healthy resume in the pop-rock-vox department. Since acting and learning how to feign singing/playing guitar was probably time-consiming enough, trying to teach Rachael to sound like a polished singer with the particular sound they were going for would probably have been more trouble than it's worth.

i heard so many rumors 'bout rachael's boyfriends. man, she's so lucky! she dated, some of... a lot of hotties, the likes of shane west, kip pardue, just to name a few. i dunno about her current boyfriend though, but i saw her picture with shane west in the premiere of bad boys II, looking great and lovey-dovey. i dunno if they ever got back together, but if they did, i'm sooooo happy! they're just so cute.

Remember, there are many things that are more important than looks in a relationship. I don't think Rachael is the type of person who would date someone simply because he's hot. Well, there's my two cents.

i feel sorry for her cause it would be very hard to find someone who truely loves her as a person (not just how she looks) when she is in the position she is in. It would be very hard when your that popular. Anyone could be pretending to luv her for looks, money, sex etc. so yeah, thats not 2 good Frown. but hey u never know, it might be easy, im just another nobody with an opinion that dosent matter Big Grin and im luvin it.

luv ya all

As far as I'm concerned, it's not really important who she leaves to be with me. ;D
