Moneywise? In her pocket?

In her pocket, I'd say Josie and the Pussy Cats, I understand she got something like $1,000,000 US for that. Of course, I might have imagined reading that, don't take it as gospel.

Film-earnings wise, I'd guess either JatPC of SAT. Not sure which though.

Her best film talent-wise, I dunno, I think shes done well in everything I've seen.

"She's All That" got about 63 $million. And "Josie and the Pussycats" got about 14 $million. SAT's the most suscessful Rachael movie in US boxoffice. Wink

I read somewhere that "She's all That" sparked the Teen movie business. After SAT, teen movies became even more popular or something... Can anybody confirm this? I don't think I remember seein any teenage movies before the year 1999.. maybe I'm wrong.. Smile

well, it was one of the first in the recent revival of teen movies, along with can't hardly wait and empire records.

however, it didn't really start the teen movie trend. look at the john hughes movies in the 80s and all those copycats (pretty in pink, breakfast club, fast times at ridgemont high, sixteen candles, ferris bueller's day off, etc.).

and before that there were all those movies in the 60s about beach parties and dancing the twist and all that. most of them plotless, featuring whatever singer was hip at the time, like Ricky Nelson or Frankie Avalon or something.

And of course, let's not forget a Hard Day's Night or Help!

Having said all that, I think She's All That is probably one of the best of the recent revival of teen movies.

So I think lord of the rings (only the two towers)
got 333.623.857 US-Dollars in the US and 872.500.000 US-Dollars in total!
That's a bit more than 63.000.000, but i think 63 is not bad to start with. I mean, i hope there will be more and much more successful movies with RLC!

63 million dosen't seem like too much when compared to the grosses of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc. Remember, though, that those movies cost 63 million - 100 million dollars just to be made! I don't know how much SAT cost, but even if it cost 10 million to be made, 53 million dollars is a great profit for a "'B'-grade" teen movie. I could be wrong, but I think that the "John Hughes Era" was thought to be over when SAT came out so it is amazing, and shows the talent of Rachael, that SAT made as much as it did, when it did. Cool

Flavor of the month wannabe.

Remember that everything needs to be considered in ratios when looking at these things. Lord of the Rings cost $94 million to make and grossed $334 million in the U.S. for a return of $3.56 for every dollar spent.

SAT cost $10 million to make and grossed $63 million for $6.30 for every dollar spent.

However, when you look at all the other endorsements, worldwide gross, etc, I'm sure The Two Towers would end alot higher than $6.30.

It's alot more complicated than that to run the actual numbers, but that's a simple version.
