Hi, I just happened upon this site a few days ago. She's All That was airing on tv (one of my favorite movies), and I decided to she if their was an official site for Rachael and I found this fan site.

Anyway, I think your site is phenomenal, both design and content wise. I wanted to ask you what programs and scripts have you used to make this site's current layout.

Thanks!

Welcome to the board, only1gena. Enjoy your stay. Mind the gap. Wink

Thank you for those kind words about our lil' site. I'm the one responsible for the graphic design and layout and I used Photoshop and Illustrator (and my fine-tuned skills. *cough* Laugh Out Loud ) to create the current look and feel.

As for the coding and underlying backbone, the initial HTML code template was thrown together in Dreamweaver by me. It was later rewritten in PHP and Perl by the then-webmaster Steve to add the dynamic backbone.

Further questions? Smile

PS. Did I miss anything in the painful birth of RLC dot Net, Steve? Wink

All scripts were hand engraved in stone, well, not really. They were coded in Macromedia HomeSite 5. The first version used all Perl code for the news, galleries, etc. The current version uses a mix of Perl and PHP, leaning more towards PHP.

BTW, no animals were harmed in the making of the site, only developers. Red Face

Thanks, I figured as much. Well, it looks great. It looks great enough to be the official site for Rachael too. Keep up the great work Big Grin

Yes, we employ only the hardest working slaves here, and their work speaks for itself. Wink

It truely is a great site, and was years ago - very before its time type and still pretty resonable now (joking).
Its one of the reasons I've started and never finished a Rachael Leigh Cook site and only ran my yahoo group which celebrated its 6th year at the start of this month!
