Well, I apologized for my comment about saying you- know- what in another thread, and I suppose I can apologize here too. The urge to put in my 2 cents got the better of me, and I'm sorry about that. Let me just say though, I'm not saying that I lied or made anything up. I'm just saying that there is no reason why you should be truly compelled to believe it if you don't want to. I don't have anything that constitutes actual proof. The same way that you yourself would believe one of your own friends, but not some stranger. And there's no reason why you should.

However, as far as what TR says on the subject, come on now people, consider the source here! Yeah, he knows Rachael, but he also likes her. A lot. He runs a website dedicated to her. Do you think he wants to fall out of favor with her? I mean, if you could contact Rachael without too much trouble, hobnob with her on the odd occasion, would you risk that? I sure wouldn't. It's like Ari Fleischer at the White House, speaking for G.W. I wouldn't honestly expect people to believe that what he says is what he actually knows. If you want to know the real news, you have to look a little farther than the ones who are "toeing the party line".

I do actually have some "good" gossip about Rachael. Not that you should believe it either, but hey...I hear she is quite the trooper. It gets really cold in Paradise Valley where the HiLine was filmed, and it is so windy with the air from Yellowstone Park blasting down the canyon that they have given up on trying to run wind farms because the wind is so strong it breaks the equipment. But Rachael was out there filming in it. Certain people I know still suffer symptoms left over from their experiences on "The HiLine".

True enough arguement I guess, but then, would Ms. Cook even care if people knew she smoked? Most young actors/actresses seem to be fairly unconcerned towards it.

And for that matter, what makes you so sure TR really is that close to her? It's possible I guess, since I still can't figure out who TR is (I will though dammit, I will) but if TR was someone close to her, would it affect their relationship at all, if TR told people she smoked?

If one of my friends started telling my legions of adoring fans () that I smoked, assuming it was true, I'd be fine with it.

This again? I thought we settled this (yet again) just last week.

Let me first start out by saying that Rachael does not smoke. Then I will say that I do not lie. Then I will say that I am not a "flunky" that does anyone's bidding. Then I will (almost) end by saying that you would think that lots more people, by now, would have seen her smoking if she really was. Think about how in-the-public-eye she is anymore. Just think about that and then consider how impossible it would be for her to smoke and not have it be known to the world by now. A single second-hand witness doesn't really do it for me. Finally, if Rachael did choose to start up smoking tomorrow, that is her choice and it doesn't really affect anyone, does it? Granted it would be a mistake healthwise (I would think), but it wouldn't suddenly make her a bad person, right? I have many friends that smoke and they are still great people.

This smoking debate has been going on for years and most all of the "proof" that people have come up with is because they think her smoking in certain movies is very realistic and that only a real smoker or ex-smoker could pull it off so well. Stop and consider that many non-smokers have an ability to ACT and make it look real if they need to. Some people are just better at it than others.

You guys can all guess for yourselves, but I can honestly say without lying that Rachael doesn't smoke. Hey, also consider that I'm not her and I DON'T really know everything; This is all to my knowledge. Maybe she is the best closet smoker on the planet and is fooling everyone. LOL

Had to stick up for myself there a bit. *hops off of soapbox*
