Well, after spending a mere 30 minutes reading the entire Rachael Leigh Cook biography (30 minutes well spent!), I have discovered that Rachael's favorite color is black! Is that true? I dunno, I just find that weird. Never heard of black being anyone's favorite color.

Then again, it's unique, and it's Rachael.

Oh yeah... black is the new blue!!

Yes, it is true. Is it really that unusual? It's actually the color I wear a lot too. Wink I guess maybe I am a weirdo too. I'd say black is maybe my fave "color" too. Smile

Black cargo pants or jeans, black tennis shoes, black sleeveless t-shirts, black military BDU hat... my prefered style of dress 9/10s of the time. Green is my favorite color, but black is the heart of my fashion statement. It's more professional than the crap Esquire keeps displaying in their rag. Unfortunately, I have to wear other colors so people will think I change clothes. And I have to have a real job...

Black... it isn't just for funerals and Goths. It's for the fans or RLC as well.

How about a RLC site done in traditional black?

Black is definitely a good color for websites. My friend's band's website (which I made), www.noturnongreen.com, is in mostly black.

Now that you mention it, a lot of my clothing is black as well. I guess I just never noticed it... lol.

You know what? Black kicks ass! I take back everything I said about black! It's definitely a cool color... though I still like blue better.

Yes, that is true. At one point, she said that much of her wardrobe is black and brown. Smile

So now that we've been talking about black, I have some questions.

1) Is she a Johnny Cash fan, since he was often refered to as "the man in black"

2) Is she a Rolling Stones fan, since they wanted to paint everything black a few years ago.

3) Does she know the "Rev. Mr. Black" {somewhat obscure song reference}

Speaking of Johnny Cash, may he rest is old self in peace, that song "Hurt"....the one he got lots of praise for, from what I heard....was written by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. I didnt like Cash's version, but the NIN one was beautiful in a gut twistingly sad way.

(I heard the praise, I knew Trent wrote the song.)

"But, suh, I have no diversion." Gen. Wilson Pickett, no relation to CSA Gen. George Pickett, who said something like it in the movie Gettysburg.

I haven't heard the NIN original of Hurt. The first time I heard Cash's cover of it, it nailed me. Very powerful song. And I've occasionally sung it to myself while driving. It's a stunning, hauntingly beautiful, perfectly tragic song when performed a cappella. I can carry a tune, but not very far.

Which leads us to an interesting question that may or may not take us back on track. I'm not even sure if it's been asked before. What is Rachael's favorite time of the year: Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring? And why?

Personally I prefer black or dark purple. Rachael looks good in black. Black makes a statement. But then again, she'd look good in pink with green racing stripes. Don't you think? Later, Vampire

You're justified:I learned at physics courses that black, in fact, isn't a color:we say that things are black when they don't reflect any colour.
By the way, almost all of my clothes are black and grey and about "black is the new blue" I'm not in mourning when I wear black.
