I saw it and really enjoyed it! smile I am not sure that the movie is for everyone, because some people seem to miss some of the humor. The product placement plugging was a really funny element of the movie and it all tied into the plot; some people saw the "advertising" and critisized it for being over-the-top. THAT WAS THE POINT! wink

Well, you can't expect everyone to get it. wink All in all, check it out; the movie is a lot of fun! smile I forsee good box office! Kids will definitely love it. smile

I will be seeing it Saturday the 14th because of my friends nieces not being able to go until then. I promised I would take them to the movie. One is 13 and the other is 16. I will let everyone know my views on it after I see it. I am just so used to seeing Rachael movies the day they come out. Waiting is torture! Later!

I saw Josie last night. I laughed my ass off. TR is right though, the humor might go over the head of some, like it did for all the pre-teen girls in the audience. I thought it was funny that the movie made fun of the pliable minds of today's youth with myself excluded, of course.

How could you miss the humor of the movie? smile The product placement was great. I liked the Can't Hardly Wait plug(seeing as it has the same directors)...I only saw it the second time around. smile The movie was supposed to be over the top...I mean come on, it's a cartoon adaptation. It's funny that you mention taking your nieces Stephen cause when I went for the second time I saw a young mother bring what must have been a 4 year old into the movie...um, isn't it rated PG-13? I don't bother to check any more. smile As I think about the humor I suppose much of that is there to bring in the older audiences. Are we gonna start a spoiler thread any time soon? smile

Yes, the movie was PG-13 but it was very mild. There wasn't much in there to freak out kids. smile

You have to expect "over-the-top" when they do a cartoon adaption. I think it was great! :-) The funniest line in the movie came from Alexandria but I wouldn't dare ruin it for the people who haven't seen it yet. wink

hey, i'm sure those of you who've seen the movie (i can't wait to include myself in that group! smile ) would like to discuss it...maybe you guys should just make one big "spoilers" topic, so the rest of us who like surprises can stay away? just a thought... smile

I could make a special "Josie" conversation forum but I don't think there's enough to talk about and/or the interest would last long enough.

We can do a "SPOILERS: Josie and the Pussycats" thread and then everyone can talk about it. Up to you guys.

Ok, I went and saw the first show of Josie on Wensday at 12 (I wasn't even a Rachael fan, but rather... an Archie Comics/J&P Comics fan)... It is now Saturday, I have J&P 10 times... I think that (well, maybe with the exception of Along Came A Spider) it is the best movie out right now, and probably the best so far this year. The humour is great (especially the 'honk if you love...')... And I am now totally a big fan of RLC! Hope to meet some pretty kewl people round here... peace out...
