I just saw this last night and was wondering what anyone else thought of this flick...

Personally, I thought the movie sucked contaminated river rocks, but this is not Rachael's fault. You gotta wait an hour before she shows up and then is only there for 20 minutes. I don't know if it was the story, Michael Rappaport's character, or Michael Rappaport (who I've liked in other things). Maybe it was a combo of the three things.

IMHO I would only recommend it to diehard RLC fans. She is a HOT biker chick and I loved the "Love" "Hate" tattoos over each breast.

Maybe I am missing the charm of this thing. PLEASE let me know what you think of it! Thanks!

was there a charm to that release? i've never heard anything good about that movie. other than love and hate on her breasts. I just downloaded a cap of that movie and called it a day. you may just have wasted $3 at blockbuster, cowboy.

Again, call me strange but I liked the movie. smile I like strange surreal comedies like that. The Coen's are known for that kinda stuff. I definitely do think that "Raising Arizona" was much funnier, though. smile

Too many movies on VHS! At the moment I don't own a VCR, since DVDs are so far superior, but so many of her older movies are on VHS... When I got out of college and started making da bucks, I swore I'd never allow non-digital A/V media in my house. However, it looks like I may have to break that oath if I want to be able to watch some of the oldies but goodies (such as The Naked Man and The Bumble Bee Flies Anyway). *sigh* Anyone heard of possible DVD releases of those (or other RLC) movies?

ahhh ... it was only $1 at Family Video for 5 days (its older).

I like Raising Arizona and Fargo, maybe it was cause this only had one of the Coen brothers.

ilarious to me, and there are some great characters, such as the detective, the bad guys, and of course Rachael. My dad thought is was stupid, though.

I thought the movie made hardly any sense. I may have enjoyed it more if I were high. Rachael was good in it but not great. Although I liked the leather look and the biker chick part. It's good to see her stretching her roles there. However, it could have been written a lot better and not have been so confusingly stupid. I got the jist of it, but please! I really could have done without the Elvis impersonator getting his guts ripped out by the plane's propellar blade. YUCK!

That one line makes me want to see the movie. I mean, how can you go wrong with a line like that?

If only it were available on DVD...

Hehe smile

A little background:

I graduated college a couple years ago. Didn't even have a TV then (you know, typical poor college student). Had an ok stereo system, but nothing spectacular.

I graduated with a BS in Computer Science, and there were jobs aplenty. I started off making pretty good money as a software engineer, so I bought a nice TV and DVD player. And then I started buying DVDs.

I have around 100 DVDs now. Before searching out the less well know RLC movies, there really wasn't much that wasn't available on DVD (Star Wars being the exception - those bastards!).

And I really hate the quality of VHS tapes. I mean, I bought my sister a VCR for her birthday, a really nice one, but it still sucked compared to my DVD player.

So I guess what I'm saying is, I've been spoiled by DVDs, and buying a VCR just for 2 or 3 movies seems silly.

Still, I may have no other choice, since I'm a movie buff and I want to own all of her movies.

Sorry for the length, but you *did* ask smile

hey nate! don't worry! i know people exactly the same way! i also know people who lament the end of 8-tracks! its just what people like, growup with, etc...

in ten years when surround virtual reality holovsion is in place, this whole topic will be moot!

You know what's sad? I've only had the DVD player for like a year and a half, and I'm considering giving it to my sister for her birthday and buying myself a new one. I guess I just have "early adopter" written all over me smile
