What to watch first?

I have, in front of me, 7, brand-new, never-been-viewed, still-in-the-plastic, 100% authentic, Rachael Leigh Cook movies, thanks to amazon.com. My dilemma is this - what do I watch first??

I have the following:
The Hi-Line
The Baby Sitters Club
All I Wanna Do
Carpool
The Eighteenth Angel
The Bumblebee Flies Anyway
The Naked Man

I'm thinking The Hi-Line first, since it's DVD and a true RLC movie. Next comes Bumblebee, since it's also a true Rachael movie, but in VHS. Next either the Eighteenth Angel or The Naked Man.

So many choices... so much Rachael! *sigh*

I got all of my movies from amazon too. I got The Babysitter's Club from cdnow and The Hi-Line and She's All That from Blockbuster. I need to get The Defender's Payback, Josie And The Pussycats, Antitrust and The Outer Limits Glyphic and my collection will be up to date. It's gonna be hard finding 26 Summer Street if not damn near impossible! As for which movies to watch first, only you can decide that. Eat marshmallows while watching The Naked Man! smile I watched mine in the order I got them and when I got five at once, I watched them in chronilogical order.

The ones I mentioned are just the ones I didn't already have - the ones I already have include She's All That, Get Carter, and The House of Yes.

I watched The Hi-Line and The Bumblebee Flies Anyway. Both very good movies.

I meant to say I need Get Carter and Antitrust too. Are They reasonably priced on video yet? I need to get a DVD player someday. The prices for video releases are atrocious! You would think they wouldn't cost as much as they do since DVD is a much better quality recording. I know they want $65.00 for The Defenders Payback and $100.00 something for Antitrust on Amazon! Outrageous!

If they're asking more than 15 bucks for a VHS, it's because it's only available to rental stores and not to the general public. Sometimes older, less well known movies never go on sale.

Get Carter and Antitrust should be down to normal VHS prices now.

Get Carter may be getting close to sell through but AntiTrust has another 4-6 months to wait. That's just the way it is.

Amazon.com is listing Eighteenth Angel for $9.95 available starting July 3rd.

You can get 18th Angel from buy.com right now - that's where I just got it.

That's wierd about the VHS version... I mean, if you can buy it on DVD, why not VHS?

BTW - if anyone doesn't have a DVD player and would really like a VHS copy, I could tape it off the DVD for you. I have an S-VHS VCR hooked up with high quality S-video cable, so the recording would be high quality (I am something of an audiophile). I'd even include all the extras (I couldn't live with myself if I didn't at least include the deleted scenes).

All I'd need is compensation for the tape and shipping.

Watch it, Nate. wink You may become overwhelmed offering something so generous as that. I, myself, am totally backlogged with tapes that I am supposed to make for people. Apologies again to those who are still waiting. I didn't forget you! smile

Hehe... well *someone* ought to get something out of the expensive recording options this thing has, since I'll probably never record anything on it for myself.

smile

If I get swamped I'll just start charging fees wink

You're welcome! smile Yeah, I love that VHS is so cheap now. 10 bucks and under means there's almost no reason not to buy them. If I rented them twice (or just brought them back late once) it would cost almost as much!

I got antiTrust for only 18.99 at Wal-Mart. Granted, it was scratched and skipped, but I just returned it and everything was a-ok.

I'd rather pay twice as much for a DVD than have to sit through the crappy quality of VHS. Even with a high quality S-VHS VCR, it's still way worse than DVD, and I just can't stand watching a movie that's not in widescreen.
