a new found glory has nothing to do with punk!
it`s just pop-music, maybe with a little emo in in it.
Apart from this: to be punk is different from listen to punk-rock!
Punk-rock means to understand.
To understand that most people don`t understand and even to try to figure out, why they don`t understand.
And intellectual people don`t need solid rules, so punk-rock often deals with the problem, if anarchy is possible.
In order to understand and make others understand you gotta destroy all barriers in your head and help others to do so by a provocating way of life.
But punk-rock means to think intensively, so many "punks" got other conclusions concerning the way to a revolution.
Because of this many people that seem to be absolutely different can be punk.
So we can`t decide if Rachael is a punk by referring to superficial circumstances!
sorry for my english, I`m from germany;-)

Just because you listen to Punk Rock doesnt mean you are a punk...

Im not a punk but im a big fan of The Sex Pistols, The Who, The Clash, The Buzzcocks, The Undertones etc.

I also listen to a lot of other genres of music because great music trancends all genres...

Getting back to the point though, from what ive seen of Rachael (which isnt all that much compared to some of you guys) she doesnt strike me as being a punk....

All I really listen to is punk and emo. I dont like to really refer to myself as a total punk, you know like (Yea thats right, Im punk). But most people call the group I hang out with as "the punks", not to say the only people I hang out with are punks. Im into some older style punk "ramones" "clash" "22 Jacks", but more into newer style:NOUSE,Madcap,Nofx,homegrown,etc..... A couple of those bands are pretty old, but differnet style you know. I think the Irish bands are awesome too,(Flogging molly, dropkick Murphys, real mckenzies)

Sir if you dont shut up im gonna kick 100% of your a%#!

gee that's old news CJ. everybody knows that. yeah since we're on the topic of being a punk than yes, i would say i am one. for a while i was just a punk rawker but i just got a skateboard so now i can call myself a skater punk too. favorite bands include MxPx (they're my all-time favorite), Saves The Day (sure the new stuff ain't so punk but the old stuff like Can't Slow Down is pure emo at it's best), Nirvana (curt cobain is still alive somewhere), AFI (once again the old stuff like Answer That And Stay Fashionable), New Found Glory (sorry i like that band. i just think they have some talent and rachael was in they're video so they're cool. just never ever call them emo. they are pop-punk plain and simple, nothing else.), Greenday, Bad Religion, and Pennywise (how could you be punk and not like them? they are what punk is these days.)

that's about it.

Nice list bobby. Mxpx is a great band, There older stuff is better though. Thats how it is with most bands.Pennywise kicks "A"! I like there cover songs alot too. Hey did you know NOFX is a christian punk band? hahahahahahaha! My all time favorite is NOUSE though, but I disagree on the emo man, The*Ataris are the best.

Sir if you dont shut up im gonna kick 100% of your a%#!

Yeah, I'm into what you would call "punk" also. Though I'm not into really any of the listed bands. Mostly local hardcore stuff.

Hmm.

Makes me feel out of place.

I don't like it when juice wears tights.

Whoa! it's been sooo long......

Now, what's all this disscuss- about punk?
Isn't this OT?
Ah well, here's my 10 cents(my two cents are free!)

Ah think Rachael is a pop-punk lover alrighto.
She claims to love some punk and emo bands.

Ah also think that punk, is like metal.
True punk is underground, and pop-punk is mainstream.

Here's a comparison:
True punk: Bad Religion, Sex Pistols, NoFX, Rancid
Pop Punk: NFG, Avril Lavigne (as she claims to be)

Nice to cee all the freshes!

Bring your daughter to the slaughter.
