Where in the movie did they use Linux? I've only seen it twice so I'm trying to rack my brains.

Whenever you see the computers at Nurv, they are running linux. Actually, I think all the computers in the movie were running linux, but I'm not sure.

< sarcasm >Yeah, like making up html tags is something new.< /sarcasm >
< geek mode=on >Technically, they could be xml tags, in which case you can make pretty much anything a legal tag.< /geek mode=off > < sig >-Nate< /sig > [Edited by Nate on May 21, 2001] |

lol...this is hilarious! i went to an engineering college last year (i'm transferring to another school this year), and my friends there and i sat through the entire film having discussions exactly like that! talking about what kind of screens and what kind of code (the majority of us were comp sci majors) was on the screen, etc. nice to see there are other people as nerdy out there!
oh, just to note: we did sit still and shut up during the important scenes...yeah, meaning "the scenes rachael was in". ~elG |

Hi People!
I guess I live in ancient times, but I only have a vcr not up to DVD yet. I watched Antitrust this weekend and while I thought it was pretty good, I (like all of you)wanted more Rachael. Could someone PLEASE tell me what was in the deleted scenes that fleshed out her character????? I would appreciate it greatly. your favorite luddite, connor_in |

atellites? Well, that scene is continued. Lisa acts a little afraid of the whole idea, and Milo comforts her, brushing her face with his hand, they end up kissing.
Another scene (continuation of the last one, I think) has the two of them in bed, and she talks about how she hasn't been able to trust anyone since she was abused by her uncle(?) and this is the first time she's ever really gotten close to anyone. It's a really touching scene and she acts wonderfully in it. The scene ends with the two of them getting dressed etc and she lets it slip that the FBI guy can't be trusted, even though milo hadn't told her about that. It's a really good scene and actually gives her character a lot of ...character. I'm sorry they had to cut it out. There's another scene that comes after lisa goes on top of building 21(?) to see if the dishes are activated. She gets caught, but she just says she was taking piuctures of the dishes for her GUI. It's a pretty lame scene and you're not missing anything by not having it. There are a couple scenes where Alice confronts Milo about what's been going on with Lisa, and she acts all hurt and stuff. They're relatively short and not really needed in the story. There's more but I only watched them once (so far). -Nate |

Actually, it was her step-father.
Like many other people, Rachael caught my eye in Antitrust, and I am now trying desperately to see all of the movies. |
