Hey guys, I've never posted here before, but I just came across some news if anyone's interested. It seems Rachael will be providing the voice of Tifa Lockheart in the new Final Fantasy VII CG movie set to come out in April. She will also be providing the voice of Tifa in the upcoming Disney video game Kingdom Hearts II, which features a few FFVII characters. Both are sure to be huge, so I'm glad to hear Rachael's involved. Here's a link to the press release:

I just bought the UK release of the Advent Children DVD (out last Monday here) and watched it last night. I hadn't realised that Rachael did the voicing for Tifa until the credits rolled at the end.

It is a 2 disk special edition. I don't know if Rachael is in the extras. I will have to investigate.

I watched FFVII: Advent Children earlier this week. It was different. My complaint with CG characters is that the eyes are lifeless. It was beautifully rendered, and the skin tone, and the motion was right, but the eyes are lacking something resembling life.

Rachael did okay with her part. Tifa was a phlegmatic character with her own moves. There is one fight scene involving Tifa. She does have one or two good lines as well.

Check it out.

I watched the bonus DVD and was shocked to find that the bonus features were of the japanese cast recording voices. which tecnically has nothing to do with the UK release of the movie, as they didnt star in it.
i can understand the writers and director being in the bonus features for a UK release...but not a completely different cast.

whats worse was that i heard that the reason the movie was taking so long to be released here was because they wanted to get some 'uber' bonus features together. we didn't even get the 'last order' anime.

oh well, hey. we got rachel which was a bonus in itself, as i would have loved the film whomever starred in it. i waited so long for it and i love the game.
