Yes, but it was pre-printed. I finally received an "authentic" autographed postcard after writting to her five or six more times, so good luck!

Flavor of the month wannabe.

i wrote a three page letter talking about myself. i explained that i was a fan and i knew stuff about her so i decided to talk about me so she cud know something about her fans instead. whether she read it or not i don't know but mine arrived about three months later. maybe i was one of the lucky ones or maybe she actually did enjoy my letter.
my advice, don't keep talking about her, ok, mention what films you like and scenes but don't go on about how much you love her and want to marry her and etc, get my drift? be your self. you're writing to a friend. you know her, she don't know you, so talk about you. thats my advice.
good luck

Yes, I think you're right mentalmickey.
I write in my letter, that I really like what she have done, some things I like in her movies, and after I spoke about my site and about me : my region, my hobbies... wink

Who's rock star ?

I think your advice isn't bad, but I was amused that you said that you are writing to a friend. Hehe She isn't exactly your friend but she is someone who has a following of people who know facts about her so there is that familiarity that the fans have. I just found it amusing that you used the term, "friend", that's all. wink

Misa says don't talk about your self
TAlk about someone you would want to be
And be romantic, poetry(crap?) you know
Girls love that stuf
Talk about her but make it worth reading
Put a smile on her face
Make her ask her self: "Wow, I'm really all that?"
(Because she is!!) frown

Words like violence
Brake the silence

TR, i can see how you might be bemused by me calling rachael as a 'friend.' i thought it was the best way to describe her as if you were writing to her. after all, we know her birthday, where she came from, her history so basically perhaps we do know her (not privately) so when i said imagine as if you're writing to a friend, at least it can be a bit more personal than just writing to say you want an autograph or sounding like an obssessive fan!! wink
i'm really pleased with mine, it says 'hi michael!!' then signed 'rachael leigh cook!' big grin big grin big grin

Schaumi, we have no way of knowing...but I think her mom screens a lot of the letters as sometimes it will be her mom who writes back if you write to Rachael.

Thanks you guys, I think I'll start writing her a letter one of these days. A couple of questions more, how did you start ur letter? Was it 'Dear Rachael,' or just simply 'Rachael,'? And how did you end it?
confused confused confused

Be original and simply write the letter as you want. smile Don't feel pressure to do what everyone else has done. It is unlikely that they are all consistant anyway. smile

I sent her a mix cd because I was dumb and smitten.
Waited nine months,
got said postcard.
Since when was her name spelled "Rachel"?
Hmmmm...

It seriously boggles my mind how there can be so much hoopla and hurrah and discussion and words on this message board about one person that no one here knows.

(Heh. I said "boggles". And "hoopla".)

I'm sure that it just looks like it says, "Rachel". She knows how to sign her own name. wink I have seen her make the "a" and "e" look funny, though; I'm sure that is all you saw. smile

On my postcard, she signed it correctly...

I have it in front on my office desk (it's a call center...), quite a lucky charm smile

I actually said I wasn't looking for an autograph in my letter, and didn't send an SASE. But, six weeks after I sent it, I got a reply from her. It was a b/w photo with her signature on the bottom. I don't understand it, but it just goes to show what an amazing person Rachael is. So I say, go for it, ask for an autograph. There is a good chance she'll send one if she replies.

How will I drink from that stream? How will my heart sing your praise? How can I lay down in green grass fields when my soul is so afraid to?
