I tried to change the signature then I got this message.
"The email address you are using is banned from our site. Please contact the administrator if you think this ban is in error."

Go ahead and try now Jake. I had recently banned yahoo.com and hotmail.com addresses since most of the problems we have with people signing up are with those addresses. (For more on that, see below) I didn't think this would disrupt existing members, only new ones. I've removed the ban on both domains.

The problem we had with those addresses is that when people register we send them and email confirmation. What was happening was that email was bouncing because either the address was fake or they had too much mail in their account.

Anyhow, post here if you have any further questions.

that ban stopped me from joining this discussion board for ages i eventually figured that i'd need to change my e-mail address and i think it finally let me sign up with a yahoo.co.uk one. all is well now though, and thats what mattters

Actually, that ban was only in effect for a few days. I only instituted it earlier this week.

That is because Steven/Chaos recently set the permissions to only be for mods and admins to be able to post there. If you have new news, simply post it here and I can easily move it to that section if it qualifies.

I had the same problem, so I've changed to my e-mail realliveclaude@videotron.ca (had to reconfirm at home though...)

Now everything's okay !!!
