Okay, I've been obsessed with the movie Josie and the Pussycats for quite some time, maybe a few months, but not so much as collecting things...I have seen the movie over 20 times, and I do have a Josie and the Pussycat's shirt, and I have dyed my hair red for my band, and I do blast Josie and the Pussycat's CD whenever I go driving...What drives this obsession? I think I found the answer.
Okay, let see. I like Rachael Leigh Cook, but why? I saw She's All That, and never really thought "Oh, she's cute" and I never saw Get Carter, until like five days ago, in which she played a good solid role... The reason I like her so much and am probably obsessed is because of Josie and the Pussycats.
A beautiful girl, Josie McCoy, has a band, an all female band, how intriguing. She is so cute, and she sings amazingly...the band get signed and they play in front of many fans at the end of the movie while spoling Fiona and Wyatt's plans (the two evil people in the movie, so to say)... I guess, being in a band and wanting people to like the music and to have catchy music and such awesome music like that, can make a person want to be like Josie. Add that with KAY HANLEY'S amazing voice, it's hard not to be obsessive.
That's my thoughts on my obsession about Rachel Leigh Cook. Anyone else?

Everyone is obsessive about something at times. Same thing with addiction. The key is that you know your obsession (addiction) and can control it. I'm definately obsessed with RLC. I saw Shes All That every day for 2 weeks after I first saw it and I couldnt stop thinking about the movie all day and would get depressed when I wasnt watching it. You get over it eventually. I hardly ever watch it now and I certaintly dont feel depressed once its over. Now Im obsessed with Winona Ryder tho, heh. But its OK, cuz I understand it and dont let it control my life.
BTW, Josie is probably my favorate RLC movie too. Its about music (the love of my life), its satirical and funny, and Rachael looks amazing.
P.S. I have the Josie soundtrack and keeping in mind that I am into death/black metal, I absolutely love that soundtrack anyway. My friends call me a loser, but they just dont understand =)

a friend of mine once said that it's good to have an obsession with a celebrety. i can't remember why my friend said it but he did. so there. no harm in being obsessed, and i am obsessed with rachael leigh cook. and that doesn't bother me much. she's cute, smart, funny, and doesn't strike me as a ditz. she's cool.
Oh obsession. Long ago when I got first know Rachael I couldn't think what shall I do every minute. Will I watch her movie. The same thing happen. BUt later I realize it's really happening and the reason to be obsessed was definitely varying.
