Claude pointed out that on tvguide.com, there was a quote from Rachael in the "50 Greatest Cartoon Characters of All Time" article. Well, I noticed that it is also printed in the current issue of TV Guide. :-) It expires today so most stands will likely have the one for next week. It's not really worth getting just for that but I thought I would mention it because I thought it was funny. smile

Also, here is an interesting oddity. Remember the McDonald's hotel room in "Josie and the Pussycats" that Mel stayed in? Take a look at this link. LOL This is for real! smile

Coven,

No, they didn't use that hotel. One has to wonder if the idea could have come from the movie, though! LOL wink

It is meant entirely as a joke. No movie would DARE to actually do product placement to that extreme! LOL smile It would look silly! That was the point in the movie; it was to parody our world of over-advertising. smile

By the way, they received no compensation for all of the products "plugged" in the movie. That proves that it was meant only as a joke. smile Why plug all of those products without getting compensation? smile It wasn't caught by all who saw it but obviously, it was meant as a joke. wink

LOL!
This remembers to the high commercial involvement in another movie: Back to the Future 2! There they added many futuristic products made by nowadays famous companies (hoverboards by Mattel, shricked home pizzas by Pizza Hut which will be enlarged by black&decker machines, Texaco gas stations for flying cars...) These ones can't be paid because they never existed.

I never thought they were using advertisement placement. I always knew it was a joke...and a funny one for that matter.
