Rather than her Natural physical beauty (ppl say so), i go for her inner enigmatic beauty, n always inquisitive about it, i've found some, so far; there may be alot within her.
Numerous interviews, biographers have been writing about her same life story. Still, the way the RLC's hidden thoughts, feelings, incidents, good n bad days have been put very well in every new issues. She is completely different from any other holywod actresses. I hope the interviewers will ask more about her personal views apart from only movies. "I'm not small, I'm space-efficient." -Rachael Leigh Cook. (In her response, rather than diplomacy, she knows what she is. i appreciate this.) How is he (Slyvester stallone) weird? (EXCERPT: showbiz interview-OCT 05,2000 by:Jane wollman Rusoff) RLC: He's random. Like, we were doing reshoots in Toronto a couple of months ago, and I had a cold and he didn't want to get sick, so he was hovering about 20 feet away from me. Just sort of wandering around the lawn. We were shooting in a cemetery. Then he came over and said [Imitates Stallone's Philadelphia accent], "I read an interview where you called me 'scary.' Am I scary?" I was like, "Yeah, you're kind of scary!" It was so funny! So now I call him Scary, like, "See ya, Scary!" I mean scary as a compliment because he's funny-scary. "I don't know if the glass is half full or empty. It depends what kind of day you ask me on," said the actress. EXCERPT from Rachael Leigh Cook: She's All Actress" by Chuck Walton "The best thing about being able to do different parts is that it brings out different parts of you," she said. "To say that a character comes completely out of nowhere, to me, is false. Every character is a little piece, just blown up. That's what's great about taking on all kinds of roles." EXCERPT from Rachael Leigh Cook: She's All Actress" by Chuck Walton How did you pick your film roles? (Excerpt:"5 Questions with Rachael Leigh Cook" by Carol Deegan .Wednesday, January 27, 1999 Cook: Actors have like a hundred different ways of choosing which projects they want to do. But ... the ones I want are the ones where I can just read it, I can so clearly just see myself saying these lines. I read them on the page and I can hear my voice in my head and how I would say them. At that point, it's like, 'I have to do this. You might think that there is someone else you might want for this role, but you don't understand, because I'm going to do this.' I can just hear these characters in my head. Below Excerpt :"Rachael Leigh Cook's Morbid Streak" by Karen Burns Saturday, January 30, 1999 So what inspired the up-and-comer to take on such a role? Certainly not the plot — it's admittedly a fairly predictable tale of boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back. But Cook says that predictability "is the beauty of it. It was a happy movie. I like happy movies." TB: What do you look for in guys? (EXCERPT:Tiger Beat Interview) RLC: The only thing that I look for above anything else is someone who isn't shy. I can't believe shy people. I mean, I can talk for hours, I really could. But if someone doesnt talk back to me, it's like, I know you're interesting but you're going to have to show me. And a sense of humor. I know it sounds corny, but I like guys who can make me laugh. But talkative above a lot of things-looks will only take you so far. But of course, looks don't hurt. (WELL, i m thinking which is the best joke?) The Movie Guys: So, men are pigs. (EXCERPT:"A Word With Rachael Leigh Cook" BY Jeffrey K. Howard and Dave Neil (http://www.scopemag.com/departments/02_03_99/film_cook.html) Cook: Would I say that? No. Laney would. I think anyone is capable of being a mean person, but I wouldn't pin it on any one person. (ITS technically good answer) The Movie Guys: Have the comparisons with Winnoa Ryder started yet? Cook: Yeah. I'd say so. People ask me that, and am I supposed to say that's bad? Someone who's known for being, not only really talented, but really pretty. How could I mind? I just think it's so ridiculous when people say "the next." What kind of society do we live in where someone is considered over the hill at 25? It's horrible. (I think she knows that she has her own identity, that hollywood need to see more, just a matter of time) What Does a Girl Need to Be "All That?" (excerpt:Rachael Leigh Cook: Any Questions?" by Amanda Rudolph http://www.eonline.com/Gossip/Who/rlc.html) RLC:"A good head on her shoulders, respect for herself and others, a personal sense of style and self-assurance. Someone who's cool with who they are." Even So, She'd Still Be Left with That Very Hollywood Extra "a" in Rachael? RLC:"When I was born, the doctor asked my parents, 'How do you want to spell Rachel?' And they were, like, 'There's another way to spell it?' It didn't cost anything extra, and they liked it, so they added the 'a.' But now at restaurants when I put my name down, they always call out Raquel or Rach-a-el." Do People See Her As Cool? (SHE'S ALL THAT) "Actually, they usually see me as the crazy girl from that commercial." (i think very funy to me, HAA.A...a.a..............) NWA Traveller She's All That by Michael J. Bandler RLC:"I've made some missteps, but as someone much smarter than I am once said, 'We learn nothing from our successes.' So I really wouldn't change very much." RLC:"I went to a couple of dances but had trouble finding my place," Cook says. "Because I came and went, people had no idea who I was. Occasionally, I was asked, 'Are you in a movie?' But they hadn't come out yet, so I'd have to say, 'Well, maybe next year.' It was a very odd time. The actress describes Gillies as "very creative, which is really inspiring to me," adding that "what binds us is being on each other's team - supporting each other." RLC:Cook selected projects by "taking all the help I could get," the actress says. "I wish I could say I listen to my gut, but my gut tells me to listen to other people, even though I make my own decision at the end of the day." RLC:"I never had a prom," she says RLC:"I'm careful about the choices I make now," the actress says. "I would never put all my eggs into one basket, and I don't depend on my work alone to supply my happiness." RLC:Cook attributes her grounded attitude to her family and upbringing. "I've never said to myself, 'This is forever, everything's all locked up, I'm going to go out and buy five houses.' I've never been foolish that way," she says. "I've never even believed that this is my life. I may be on a winning streak now, but I'll always leave the table before I'm down. RLC:"My one-liner has been, 'Always happy, never satisfied.' I guess that in my 30s, maybe I want to edge toward 'satisfied.' " NWATraveller: She avoids the paparazzi and club-trolling for attention. (.WOA!!!... y doesn't she go crazy 4 public attention like other actors?) When i read about RLC by Michael J. Bandler from NWATraveller, i felt, he has put so far more about her life, feelings, of the same story with more hidden news about her. More than what she is, he placed her sentences which i liked the most. In future, i hope interviewrs will place more about her individual feelings about life also. She seemed to stagger a bit in her life from readings but i tell her that i like her being in Video songs as well, she appeared twice i think. pls. tell me who RLC is 4 u. ANYWAY, "YOU'RE ALL THAT" in this EARTH. God bless me too GOD |
