Do any of you know anything about the stauts of any of the films she is working on:

INVISIBLE GIRL - was supposed to start filming 5/8/01?

SCORCHED - supposed to start filmin late May 2001?

29 PALMS - finished shooting in 4/01

SALLY - (all I know is from sallythemovie.com)

PLUS, status of Tangled, Texas Rangers, and anything else I may be forgetting

Just Curious!

29 Palms is finished shooting. It will probably make the festival rounds and seek US distribution.

Texas Rangers has been pushed back again, I think the latest estimates were Spring 2002?

29 Palms is done shooting, in post production. Sally is done shooting, looking for a distributer, Scorched and Invisible girl I think are going to shoot one right after the other but I don't know what the first one to be shot is, and when it will begin.

Then Texas Rangers, and Tangeled are getting pushed back due to the simple fact of, a western, and a love triangle suspense film, 2 things which were invented in the 40's and stoped getting made in the 70's!

you are forgetting the 80's western revival...
Young Guns (I & II); Silverado; Pale Rider; Forgiven...

Tell ya the Truth...I'm looking forward to that one, Texas Rangers (good or stinky wink )

Connor: perhaps he should have said *good* westerns stopped getting made in the 70's. Of course, we all know there's only been about 3 good westerns in the history of the world.

I can only think of two off the top of my head - Maverick and Shanghai Noon smile

Yeah maybe I should of big grin!! I mean I've never seen a good western made in the 80's, never! But then again I have never seen too many made in the 80's, but I have seen the ones connor_in has stated and well, I hate them!!

to make you like westerns (if you don't, you don't and that's fine). I simply am saying that I enjoy them and am looking forward to seeing the exceptional Miss Cook perform in this one and round out her already impressive resume even further.

Now on with the show!

Texas Rangers keeps getting pushed back for a number of reasons. First, it wasn't screening well with test audiences. (There are some reviews at darkhorizons.com that shred the film to pieces.) upcomingmovies.com says it was supposed to open in Spring 2000, but got delayed to Spring 2001. Then, Miramax found out that Warner Brothers has it's own Western coming out called "American Outlaws." Miramax and WB changed the opening dates for their films very many times just so both wouldn't be out at the same time. As of right now, "American Outlaws" will open later this summer, prompting Miramax to push the release of "Texas Rangers" all the way back to First Quarter 2002. That's TWO YEARS from the original release date and THREE YEARS since it was filmed. Movie studio politics are INSANE!

I just read that Tangled was picked up by Miramax earlier this year, so unless it goes through some attrocious bumping like Texas Rangers, it should get a decent release sometime in the next year or two.

That would be great if it was released sometime soon. It looks like it's going to be a good film. Now if only Sally could be released as well. smile

Has anyone ever submitted anything to update the IMDB? Did they ever get it right? I sent them info for "Sally" but the only thing they added was the 4th cast member and his character name. I sent the character names for Rachael and the other two actors and they didn't add it. It's really annoying. I've submitted stuff for other movies too and it never gets added even though it's right.

I've recently sent them info and they only fixed one of the things I asked for, that I can tell.

They seem kinda slow to get around to things.

That poster is a larger version that has been out there for awhile. It can be found on http://i.am/tangled and in the photos section of the yahoo club "Tangled". smile

Maverick and Shanghai Noon? Best Westerns in the history of the world??

I kinda liked The Searchers (1956), or High Noon (1952), or Red River (1948). Even the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns of the 1960's like A Fist Full of Dollars (Italian release 1964 American Release 1967) were supercool

I don't know nuthin bout no best western in the history of the world, but I kinda like those:grin:

As far as Texas Rangers goes, sure, I can't wait to see every release that Rachael is featured in, but the kind of delays that this movie has expirenced is really unfortunate. smile

*grin* Sugarfist - can you tell I don't like westerns? smile Maverick and Shanghai Noon were great movies and happened to be set in the old west (new west?). All those old westerns with crappy acting (Clint Eastwood? Come on! I've seen two by fours act better!) and typical plots... just don't do it for me.
