This is the best news in a long time for her (imo). 2010 can be a HUGE year for hear if Broken Kingdom is great and this show gets off the ground!

NEVERMIND NIRVANA (FOX) - "Past Life" alum Ravi Patel has scored a lead role on the comedy pilot, about two brothers from a traditional Indian background who struggle with their parents' expectations. He'll play one of them, Sunil "Sonny" Mattoo, who lives - and is expecting a child - with his white girlfriend (Rachael Leigh Cook). Harish Patel and Utkarsh Ambudkar also star in the half-hour, which comes from creator Ajay Sahgal and 20th Century Fox Television.

NEVERMIND NIRVANA (FOX) - Sakina Jaffrey ("Third Watch") has scored a role on the comedy pilot, about two grown Indian-American brothers who clash with their controlling immigrant parents as they assimilate American culture. She's believed to be playing Dr. Sarita Mattoo, the boys' mother. Scott Ellis ("30 Rock") has also signed on to direct the half-hour, which was penned by Ajay Sahgal. Harish Patel, Rachael Leigh Cook, Ravi Patel and Utkarsh Ambudkar also star in the project, which comes from 20th Century Fox Television.

Seems Nirvana got canceled already. Ravi V. Patel said on twitter that is not picked up. Thats a Bummer. Was really eager to see Rachael in this new show!

I wonder if we will be able to find the pilot like we eventually did with Fearless.

I hope next pilot season she tries again, she's obviously willing to do the TV series thing for a while if she tried this one.

Yeah let's hope she tries again. Even it is very difficult nowadays for a new show to get picked up, i'm sure R can make it! She really should get a chance!

I would have loved to see the Nirvana Pilot but i'm not too optimistic anymore that we ever will see it. Couldn't find anything anymore about the show after the Upfront announcements. Too bad!
