What single word comes to mind when thinking of Rachael? Diversity, of course! LOL Wink (Dumb in-joke there.) hehe

Rachael will be receiving an award this coming Sunday (at 6pm) at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The 11th Annual Diversity Awards (23 Nov. 2003) are slated to be taped for a fall airing, so this one may be on your TV sets eventually. Wink

Anyway, read the Official site for the Awards for more info:

And they still spell her first name wrong... Roll Eyes

Anyway, as she might receive an award, it's well deserved !

Nice to see Rachael being recognised for her talent without having to do the sell-out, 'accept anything with a big budget' trick like many celebrities do Wink

At what point will you realise, that life without Rachael is really death in disguise

Okay... congratulations are in order then. Rachael has played a diverse number of roles. Each character had it's own diverse background. Painter, rocker, waitress.... could'a been anyone's race, color, creed.

But I still don't get multiculturalism. I can joke around that one yogurt is as good as another, but I won't. I don't care what language one speaks, what their nationality is, what their religion is. If they get together for a common purpose, turning out a quality product that a common denominator of individuals want to purchase, then that is a good thing to be celebrated. What one does on their own time is their own business.

Isn't commonality of purpose more synergous than celebrating the things that make individuals different, the things that caused this nation one Civil War and threatens to take us to the brink of a second one?

I look at the locations where Rachael's fans come from. Brazil, Costa Rica, Germany, England, "somewhere in the U.S.A.", all points elsewhere. We are diverse, have different politicial veiwpoints and religions and cultures, but we are all united in our respect and admiration for Rachael Leigh Cook.

Like I said, I don't get multiculturalism and diversity.

ON BET?!?!?!?....... i wonder if it's the same BET i'm thinking of. Cause it just doesn't seem to fit playing it on the Black Entertainment Television. But stranger things have happend.
