Josie & the Pussycats: There's been a bit of confusion but at last with principal photography underway on the J&P flick up in Vancouver, some stuff has begun to surface including a quite detailled plot description below. Thanks to 'Movie Man':
"Based on the popular Archie comic book, Josie (Rachael Leigh Cook), Melody (Tara Reid) and Val (Rosario Dawson) are three small town girl musicians determined to take their rock band out of their garage and straight to the top -- while remaining true to their own look, style and sound. When the girls are 'discovered' by band manager Wyatt Frame (Alan Cumming) and megarecords CEO Fiona (Parker Posey), who instantly offers them a recording contract, it looks as if Josie and the Pussycats are on their way. Before long they have the number one single in the country ... but something's not right in Riverdale. It's all happening too fast, and it's all coming too easy, and fame and fortune are not as much fun as they thought it would be. Realizing they've been played as pawns by Fiona and Wyatt in an evil plot to control the youth of America, the girls vow to get even and clear their names -- even if it means sending Josie and the Pussycats back to the garage."
Aww, don't remind me about superhero comics. I had the first issue of Spidey-vs-Electro but I cut it up with a scissor. I also had the first comic of Nick Fury, but then I threw it away. I still have all my Marvel cards though. Man, trading those were good memories.
I will assume you cut it up as a child, because thats worth money now. Anywho, Spiderman comics are the best around. Well, old Spiderman comics that is. I heard somewhere that Spiderman is now someone else, not Peter Parker, if thats true its lame.
s anybody heard Rachael sing? i bet she has a great voice.... besides, she wouldn't have gotten the lead part of josie if she can't sing, right? how i long to hear her sing!
