Think it's time to move this to the news section.

It's been on IMDB for months now.. not to mention that it just played at the Seattle Film Festival - with Rachael's name attached.

"An impressive cast adds sinew to director Vivi Friedman's loopy, sporadically inspired comedy about a circus-load of dysfunction in one family headed by a dodgy underachiever (Dermot Mulroney) and a bitter philanderer (Hope Davis). An accident resulting in the latter's memory loss seems to break a bad spell over their family life, shaking up the status quo to sometimes explosive results. Nice performances from Rachael Leigh Cook, Keith Carradine, Selma Blair, John Patrick Amedori and loads of others. Friedman, writer Mark Lisson, and producers J. Todd Harris, Allan Jones and Kathy Weiss are scheduled to attend the screening"

Myriad Acquires Comedy Starring Christina Hendricks & Bow Wow
By Jeff Sneider
Published: November 04, 2010 @ 6:00 pm

Myriad has acquired international rights to "The Family Tree," a comedy that stars Hope Davis, Dermot Mulroney, Selma Blair, Max Thieriot, Bow Wow, Rachael Leigh Cook, Jane Seymour and "Mad Men" actress Christina Hendricks, the company announced on Thursday.

Davis stars as a restless housewife who hits her head during an illicit sexual encounter with her next-door neighbor and winds up losing her memory. She can't remember her husband (Mulroney) or her two teenage kids. While her amnesia provides the spark that her marriage has been missing, it allows the kids to run amok.

The project marks the feature directorial debut of Vivi Friedman, a Finnish-born filmmaker best known for her work in commercials, whose first short film, "Certainly Not a Fairytale," was made in conjunction with Fox Searchlight's prestigious Searchlab.

This time around, Friedman will be working from a script by Mark Lisson, who will also produce the project with Allan Jones, Kathy Weiss and J. Todd Harris ("The Kids Are Alright").

Myriad will start screening and selling "The Family Tree" at the American Film Market this week. IP Advisors continue to represent the picture's North American rights.

AHh beat me by 2 days. I'm never that far behind!

Hope we can see this soon! I like comedies with a little bit of dark. The trailer reminds me of "Big Trouble".
