Well, the character starts out as 15 and ages until she is ultimately played by another actress: Joanna Going. Smile

I am surprised Dana Delany and Powers Booth are not playing her character's sister and brother-in-law. I know that Angelina Jolie would be too expensive now to be in the mini-series, but if she were to play Rachael's character at a more mature age(I think Joanna Going resembles Rachael more than Angelina does) instead of Joanna, and Dana and Powers were in it,this would just be a remake of True Woman.

Another reminder that the third part of "Into The West" airs this evening (and this weekend.) This is the first part where Rachael's character appears. Smile Daniel appears in this episode also, by the way! Smile If you get TNT, be sure to tune in! Big Grin

I thought that Daniel's character,Ethan, was going to be Clara Wheeler's(Rachael's character) father, since Ethan married a Wheeler. It turns out the characters are cousins. This is off topic, but I think it is ironic that Clara's family and friends are Kansans who are progressive enough to stand against slavery, while in 2005 the Kansas Board of Education is stll debating whether or not evoution should be taught in biolgy classes.

To be on topic, Canada has now the chance to see Into the West for three consecutive weekends. Episode 1 and 2 just passed (saw the second, was impressive, though slow...)

Episode 3 where Rachael and Daniel are part of this, is scheduled on CBC Network on October 2nd at 8PM EDT (8H30 PM in Newfoundland)

Episode 4, is monday October 3rd, same network and same time.

Have fun !
