Well, I happen to like Metallica, but otherwise, could we stick to the topic here?

I know Rachael is set to film a new movie next month...HOWEVER...

have they re-vamped Fearless?
have they been shooting episodes and storing them for when they are wanted in January (or so)?
(Did anyone else notice the fearlessonline.com site shut down until such time as the show appears?)

Just wondering where the show stands,

especially since the new movie is probably independent and will never make it to small town IN just like a chunk of her others (if and when they get distributed) Confused

Meanwhile in other WB news, industry insiders have confirmed that the Frog will not go forward with the drama "Fearless" as part of its midseason schedule. The series, which stars Rachael Leigh Cook as an F.B.I. agent born without the gene for fear, was originally targeted for a fall 2003 start however casting issues and the lack of a showrunner caused the WB to push the series back to midseason. The project however will remain under consideration for the network's fall 2004 schedule.

What is a "showrunner" and why did they lack it?

This is taken from an interview with John Wells, who was a showrunner on ER.A Week in the Life of a Showrunner

"But when asked to define all that's included in the term "showrunner," Wells laughs. "I've given up," he says. "My family still doesn't know. The problem is that the job involves so many different things. I mean, I really think of myself as a writer and that's what I enjoy most about the job, but there's a lot of just day to day administrative work. Everything from all of the planning on scripts, to preproduction, to post-production, to everything that's going on on the set, casting, editing. What you find is you get to do a little bit of everything. It's what makes it a great job, and at the same time it can be frustrating some days, because you don't get to do as much of what you really enjoy, which is the writing."

You may find the rest of the interview to be, in the words of Mr. Spock, fascinating.

"I will go down with this ship, and I won't raise my hands up in surrender..."
