Hey guys, I don't post on here a lot, but I had to share this. Check out the news that totally ruined my day:

http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/26/television.actresses.reut/index.html

"At Fox, Rachael Leigh Cook is departing the new drama series "Head Cases." The show stars Chris O'Donnell as a successful lawyer with a nervous breakdown who teams up with a lawyer with an anger problem (Adam Goldberg)."

The impression I'm getting from what I've read is that the series is being retooled, and her departure was part of that change. It's really not that uncommon and isn't any reflection on her as a person or an actress...

At least we'll see her on Into the West, right? I think Adam is right, besides I don't think Head Cases sounded that good.

Well..CrapCrapCrap!!!!!!!

Man...first I find out last night that RLC could have been Dorothy with the Muppets but they thought she did her own singing for JatP, now I find out she's not going to be in my living room every week...this just.....crap!

{slightly off topic: by the way, i read the article referenced above and what is going on, i understand re-tooling, but all these shows were JUST picked up and now all the females are gone! a lot of them the lead or at least the female lead}

I know I sound like a wanna-be psychologist(I have no backround in psychology btw) but I wonder if sub-consiously she wanted both TV gigs to fail. The Minneapolis work ethic part of her probably is diappointed at the missed opportunities for a steady job(i.e. both series). The L.A. artist part of her is probably glad, though. Like TR has eluded to, she is now free to work on as many straight-to-DVD movies as she feels. She also does not have to worry about being gossip rag and/or paparazzi fodder. Laugh Out Loud

HEY TR!!!!!

Any hints as too what's next on the horizon for our sweet little Mrs Gillies?

(and did you know anything about the unfortunate audition she had with the Muppets alluded to on the Late Late show?)

connor_in,

The next thing we have to look forward to is "Into the West." Smile That's coming up quite soon.

I don't have any details for you about the muppet audition. lol Sorry. Wink Rachael told what she wanted. Smile

TR, did you actually believe Rachael's muppet story? I still think it was part of an improv between she and Craig. I know that TV producers are sometimes portrayed as twits, but wouldn't they do a better job of vetting out potential actors.Rachael never claimed to be a singer,so I would think the casting people would have looked deeper into "Josie". Then again someone, including Rachael herself or one of her reps, could have lied to or misled the people in charge of casting.

Stories are sometimes made more colorful for entertainment value. Smile We all do that. Nobody lied or misled, though.

Rachael probably would not sleep with Gonzo. Hollywood is sleezy like that.

I know this is zooming desparately off the topic, but Gonzo has his own true love in Camilla the Chicken and I find it hard to believe he would be inappropriate with RLC. Pepe the King Prawn is another story entirely

After just two episodes, Head Cases has already been cancelled. Whatever Rachael's doing, she's better off not having been part of it. Smile

I had a feeling that might happen... the poor show was going up against "Lost" to start with. Wink That show is a juggernaut anymore.
