Amazon just added "Scorched" to their listings -- their description is kind of vague and doesn't clearly indicate that it's 'our' "Scorched", but it does list it as "Scorched (2002)", the same way the IMDb lists the Rachael Leigh Cook movie. Release date is 1/27/04. No word on any supplements or anything, but it looks like it's going to carry a list price of $19.98.

Good deal.

Doreen Carter: You are so freaky!
Jack Carter: Oh, well, we're all a little freaky, Doreen. It's the straight ones you've got to worry about.

I have confirmation from a few different sites that this is indeed the right movie.

On the technical end of things, the DVD is double-sided, with an anamorphic widescreen presentation on one side and full-frame on the other. There are three soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, and stereo tracks in Spanish and English. The only extra is a trailer.

I found the cover art for the Region 1 DVD:

http://www.dvdplanet.com/productimages/front/37598.jpg

From what I read, it will have English subtitles available, Spanish language track, and the trailer. As with the Dutch version, there aren't many extras. Wink

By the way, the release date is still listed as the same.

...although this is wrong. Both the full-frame and widescreen versions are on one side, not that it really matters. Big Grin
