I think they mean, "it's so bad it's good." Personally, I disagree. I thought the movie was actually quite good. It just had a hard time finding an audience with how it was marketed. The writing and the humor was very sharp. -TR

The film was probably too subtle in some respects and in other respects somewhat over the top, for some tastes. It is one of my favourite movies certainly, but then that is mostly down to Rachael's superb performance.

Actually, I think they mean that it's a bad flick but easy to digest (unlike Tom Green's Freddy Got Fingered) because of some genuinely funny moments and unfortunately misinterpreted social commentary. As much as I liked the characters and some of the jokes, I thought it was a disappointingly awful film. I can't blame RLC for taking the money, though.

Well, I enjoyed the movie. Rachael didn't take the role for the money; she took it because she liked the script. -TR

I really liked the film, it's just the kind of movie that tickles my fancy. The whole tongue-in-cheek over-the-top-without-being-stupid kinda thing is just awesome. When I saw the "honk if you love pussycats" gag, I knew it was going to be great. And the opening act, after I realized they actually intended it to be that awful, it was just too funny. The only thing I didn't like about it was the scene with and the FBI guy where she keeps saying stupid stuff out loud. That just got on my nerves. -Nate

My interpretation of their term is: they think it was a bad film but they still liked watching it, maybe along the same meaning as "guilty pleasure", we all have a movie that we know is bad but still it is part of our video collection or at least if we catch it on tbs or usa late at night, we don't change the channel (please note I do not think of JATP that way...I like the movie AND think it is good)

The newspapers on its cinema release were giving it average ratings by which time I had seen it on American DVD and liked it. Then, the newspapers are rarely that positive about movies on their cinema release. However, the majority of the reviews of the UK release of the DVD were pretty positive and liked the movie though there were a few comments about the loss of the commentary and DTS soundtrack on the UK disk.

deliciously awful: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Dude, Where's My Car? Both are exceedingly funny if you let them be, and the source of many funny quotes. "Strange things are afoot at the circle K" "Stupid Llamas!" "I refuse to play your Chinese food mind games!" Hehe. -Nate [Edited by Nate on January 22, 2002]

I find that a lot of movies that critics give bad ratings are sometimes actually good. I dont really like to take other people's opinions on movies, cause thats just what it is...an opinion.
