Sciorra reports to Silent Road 'Crime' sceneLOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- Annabella Sciorra will topline the indie feature "American Crime" alongside Rachael Leigh Cook and Kip Pardue for director Dan Mintz. The project is before cameras.Silent Road Prods. is producing the feature, which centers on a TV news crew that, while investigating a murder, discovers a tape of the victim being followed and eventually killed. When a sexy reporter (Cook), a naive cameraman (Pardue) and their feminist producer (Sciorra) go to the new town sheriff, he dismisses the incident as accidental and refuses to help, so they must take matters into their own hands.Jeff Ritchie and Jack Moore scripted the project, with Ritchie handling producing duties along with executive producer Wu Bing. Ritchie, Mintz, Moore and Bing collaborated on the indie feature "Cookers."Sciorra, repped by Writers and Artists Agency and manager Sue Liebman, is currently starring on HBO's "The Sopranos" Her film credits include "What Dreams May Come," "Cop Land," "Above Suspicion" and "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle."

Don't forget that Annabella Sciorra first made a name for herself in Hollywood by playing Angela Tucci in Spike Lee's incendiary-yet-meaningless Jungle Fever.And I think she's also one of the newer characters in HBO's The Sopranos.
