"ANTI-TRUST"
Principal Cast: Ryan Phillippe, Tim Robbins, Rachael Leigh Cook, Claire Forlani. Behind the Camera: Peter Howitt, who made "Sliding Doors." Screenwriter Howard Franklin wrote "Quick Change" with Bill Murray, "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "The Public Eye" and was one of many writers on "The Name of the Rose." The Skinny: When Milo Hofmann (Phillippe) gets a great job as a computer programmer in a high-powered firm, he's ecstatic. But gradually he discovers, his boss (Robbins) is an unscrupulous, ruthless individual who doesn't care to share his market with anyone. Forlani plays Phillippe's girlfriend, Alice. Points of Interest: Reportedly, Phillippe who certainly proved his mettle in "Cruel Intentions" broke the $1 million paycheck hurdle for this movie. It remains to be seen if the movie deserves as much. Oscar Watch: Nada Bottom Line: Sounds like the kind of thriller you'll be seeing heavily promoted in the video stores, sooner than later. |
