Just watched the movie. Strange...
Thought I would check the disk out on my consoles to check whether (as I suspected) it was Region Free. It played happily on an unmodified Xbox and PS2 though some of the controller functions did not appear to work. The movie played fine (as did the adverts for other films at the start). OK, the disk is pretty basic the picture is 4:3 (Fullscreen) and the only extra is a trailer. Picture quality is pretty good. NTSC of course though so older TVs may not be able to play it OK. Thanks to Samsun I ordered it through Amazon in America (www.amazon.com) and payed on credit card. I checked the statement and it cost just under £14 including the standard shipping to the UK (took a couple of weeks). So, if you don't possess a multi-region DVD player but have a fairly up to date TV you can order it if you want. |

I was intrigued to say the least. I noticed that the packaging just said NTSC with no mention of region so I thought I would give it a try. This probably means that the Creative Lights release of "The Hi-Line" will be region free as well. I suspect their version will be identical to the UK release (fullscreen with just a trailer) as opposed to the special widescreen edition that was released in America for a short while.
